The "ZONE BOOTCAMP 2023" startup competition has entered the training phase

After concluding the Preliminary round, on December 23, 2023, Van Lang Incubation Center, in collaboration with Zone Startups Vietnam, officially selected the top 20 teams and the top 10 outstanding startups to advance to the Semi-Final round.

During his speech to the group, Mr. Ngo Cao Hoai Linh, Head of the Van Lang Incubation Center, shared, "Van Lang Incubation Center was established with the purpose of enhancing students' awareness when participating in startups, especially providing services to help students acquaint themselves with the market, bridging the gap between ideas and realizing those ideas. Collaborating with Zone Startups Vietnam – one of the top 3 organizations supporting startup ecosystem development in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam in general – is an opportunity for us to learn and create a new playground for VLU students."

Training sessions were attended by Ms. Lyly Tran and KOC. Mai Anh, the Director of Omeez. Understanding market trends in recent years, Ms. Lyly Tran stated, "The common difficulty that most small startups face in the startup process is undoubtedly budget issues. Therefore, choosing an effective and cost-saving marketing strategy is always a top priority."

During the workshop, representatives of the teams that entered the Semi-Final round had the opportunity to meet directly, exchange ideas, and discuss the challenges in the process of realizing startup ideas, while also sharing creative and interesting entrepreneurial ideas. Guided by mentor Thao Nguyen, the CEO of the UEH Innovation Institute, the teams received training in market research skills, idea screening, and business model refinement.

The Zone Bootcamp 2023 startup competition is jointly organized by Van Lang Incubation Center (VLIC) and Zone Startups Vietnam, in collaboration with partners in the startup network. In 2023, Zone Bootcamp, themed F.I.R.E, focuses on four areas: Finance, Impact, Robotics, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) development. It has created an environment for students to learn, enhance their entrepreneurial innovation skills and knowledge, and connect projects with investors.
