The final round of the 2023 National Chinese Contest took place on November 11, 2023, at the S1 filming site of the Vietnam Television Centre in the Central-Western Area. Passed more than 300 competitions, coming from more than 40 universities, academies, and major Han Language Centers in the country, Thi Thi Tuyet Trinh - a third-year Chinese language student at Van Lang University was among the top 35 candidates to participate in the Final and win the Final Promotion Award.

The 2023 National Chinese Dictionary Competition was organized by the Association of Friendship Organizations and the Consulate in Da Nang City to honor the 74th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (18 January 1950 - 18 January 2024).

The top 35 candidates in the 2023 National Chinese Language Competition came from 26 colleges, academies, Chinese Language Centers, the Vietnam-China Association of Friendship Organizations, and Friendship Conferences from 17 provinces and central cities: Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang, Can Tho, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tra Vinh, Dong Thap.…

Ms. Thi Thi Tuyet Trinh, a third-year Chinese language student at Van Lang University, performed a superb part of the speech.

Tuyet Trinh presented her speech on the theme "The Role of Vietnamese Youth in International Integration" in the Finals and handled to the The judge's criticize question. This is not only an environment for you to express your enthusiasm for Chinese, but also an opportunity to present images of Chinese language students from Van Lang University's Foreign Language Department to the Chinese language community around the country.

In the framework of the program, Tuyet Trinh and the contestants will receive the opportunity to participate in social activities at the Centre for Protection of Victims of Orange Poison and Unfortunate Children of Da Nang City, as well as visit some of the city's famous sights.

The Organizing Committee encouraged the contestants to dress in authentic Vietnamese costumes.

Dr. Mai Thu Hoai, Head of the Department of Chinese Language, Department of Foreign Languages, Van Lang University, said: “The Chinese language industry has always facilitated and encouraged students to participate in academic fields. Through the competitions, students will affirm their mark, improve their professional skills, communication skills, crowd presentation skills, and have more practical practical experiences.In the future, the industry will continue to develop academic exchange activities, giving Van Lang students more opportunities to learn and engage with Chinese language students.”
