The “Mobile Dental Clinic” Brings Smiles and Experiences to Students in Long Khanh

On December 30, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry at Van Lang University, in collaboration with the Mobile Dental Unit, organized a thematic session and career orientation program for students at INSchool (an inter-level school) in Long Khanh (Dong Nai).

As part of the program, the VLU Mobile Dental Unit provided on-site examinations, consultations, and treatment for nearly 150 students. Beyond delivering immediate dental care, the initiative also aimed at a long-term goal: fostering scientific oral health care habits among the younger generation.

With direct guidance from experienced specialists, including Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Truc and Dr. Phan Minh Khoi–lecturers from the Faculty of Dentistry, Van Lang University–students were equipped with foundational medical knowledge. This serves as a vital stepping stone, helping them gain a deeper understanding of personal health and learn how to apply it effectively in daily life.

Students from grades 9 through 12 at INSchool had the opportunity to observe firsthand dental professionals at work in a real-world clinical setting. With support from VLU Dentistry students during examinations and consultations, they gained a practical perspective on the profession, helping them gradually shape their orientation in the healthcare sector.

Alongside clinical activities, the thematic session titled “Choosing Your Path: Exploring a Career in Dentistry,” together with a roundtable consultation forum, drew significant attention. During these sessions, representatives from the University addressed questions regarding the training roadmap, learning environment, and career prospects at Van Lang University.

The program in Long Khanh strengthens the partnership between Van Lang University and INSchool, while demonstrating the University’s commitment to integrating education with community responsibility. The deployment of the mobile dental unit highlights VLU's efforts to bridge career guidance with community service, delivering meaningful benefits to society.
