Faculty of Pharmacy successfully organized the Graduation thesis defense Ceremony for Course 25

On June 3rd and 4th, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Van Lang University organized the Graduation thesis defense Ceremony for 15 students of Course 25. The Ceremony took place with 04 examination councils: Medicinal Materials, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Clinical pharmacy and Microbiology.

During the two days of the Graduation thesis defense, the professional council of the Faculty of Pharmacy highly appreciated the practicality of the topics and recognized the serious research process of the students of Course 25.

After more than 4 months of research and hard work, Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga with the topic "Research on improving the dissolution rate of Rutin by adsorption on tablet excipients" achieved the highest score of 9.9 and received many compliments from the professional council.

The topic "Synthesis and in vitro - in silico evaluations of anti-cancer activity of Colchicine-combretastatin A-4 analogues containing quinoline" by Tran Nguyen Hoan was published in the journal "Journal of Molecular Structure" (Volume 1312, No. 138465, April 20, 2024), the research team won the Encouragement Prize and the Most Favorite Poster Award at the Euréka Science Awards 2023.

The topic "Synthesis and evaluation of antibacterial, antifungal activities of Ag-ZnO@NC nanocomposite" by Nguyen Dang Khoa was recognized for his contribution to the research work, exploiting the outstanding advantages of Nano in Medicine, winning first prize at the Conference on Research and Transfer of Biotechnology Van Lang University 2024 (Health Sciences Block).

At the end of the 2-day Graduation thesis defense, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Ngoc Tuan Anh - Head of the Chemistry Department shared: “Today's results come from the continuous efforts and endeavors of the students over the past 4 months. The thesis defense is a milestone for the 5-year journey of studying at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Van Lang University with many emotions. Hopefully, this will be a valuable asset, creating a premise for new steps in the student's career. Above all, even though the students have graduated, they will always be a part of the Faculty of Pharmacy.”

Congratulations to the students of Course 25 for successfully defending their graduation thesis. This ceremony is also the final challenge for the students before graduation, as well as the clearest proof of their hard study over 5 years at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
