As part of the community activities program by the Faculty of Law and in response to the 2022 Month for Children, the Faculty of Law at Van Lang University (VLU) organized a program focused on legal education about Children's Law. The program also included gift-giving to children in the remote district of Long My, Hau Giang Province, on June 24 and 25, 2022.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Quang Thinh, Head of the Department of Administrative-State Law at VLU's Faculty of Law, led the program. Joining him were lecturers from the Faculty of Law: Mr. Do Quang Thuan, Mr. Nguyen Quyet Thang, Mr. Vu Thi Bich Hai, and Mr. Le Ho Trung Hieu. Additional participants included leaders from the provincial Women's Union, the District Women's Union, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Long My district, and a large gathering of parents, children, and local officials.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Quang Thinh opened the program by discussing the critical role of child protection as a cornerstone for the future of the country. Amidst Vietnam's complex and evolving social landscape, he stressed that raising awareness about child protection laws is both necessary and meaningful. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thinh also presented Van Lang University's achievements and strengths in training and community activities. He expressed the university's desire to attract outstanding students from Hau Giang Province.

Mr. Nguyen Quyet Thang, a program facilitator, introduced and explained the basic tenets of the Law on Children 2016. He also discussed some real-world legal issues concerning child education and protection in the age of the internet and social media. The discussion was interactive, with parents, children, and local officials actively asking questions and sharing their experiences in family-based child care and education.
At the event, the Faculty of Law, with contributions from staff and the Minh Tam Charity Center, presented 50 gifts that included French nutritional powder and 50 sets of the book "Noble Soul" to underprivileged children in Long My district, aiding them in their educational and personal development.

The event took place in a warm and interactive atmosphere, marked by a collective determination to "Join hands to protect children and speak out against child abuse and violence" under the motto: "Today's children, tomorrow's world." The program not only provided practical experiences for the lecturers but also helped raise legal awareness in the community, thereby enhancing the reputation and impact of Van Lang University.
