On May 17–18, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Van Lang University (VLU) organized a meaningful program titled “Youth Imprint: Greening the National Park,” in combination with a community outreach activity that provided gifts to S’tiêng ethnic minority households facing hardship in Binh Phuoc Province. The initiative aimed to make a practical contribution to the conservation of rare and valuable plant species, promote sustainable development, and spread positive values to the community.
As part of the program, lecturers, staff, and students from the Faculty of Law donated 300 Dalbergia cochinchinensis saplings (commonly known as Siamese rosewood) to Bu Gia Map National Park. The group directly planted trees across several subzones of the Park, supporting reforestation efforts and raising environmental awareness. These saplings were a heartfelt gift, made possible through the collective contributions and dedication of the Faculty members.
Continuing their meaningful journey, the delegation visited and presented gifts to local S’tiêng households. Fifty thoughtful gifts were given to families in need, many of whom are part of the forest protection contract community, actively involved in patrolling and preserving the forest in Bu Gia Map National Park.
During the journey, the faculty also paid tribute at the memorial stele marking the endpoint of the Truong Son fuel pipeline, an important strategic site during the resistance war against the United States. There, the delegation listened to stories of historic resilience, which inspired a deep sense of national pride, fostered patriotism, and civic responsibility among the younger generation.
The Faculty’s mission trip left a green imprint on the National Park while also carrying profound social significance, working alongside local authorities to improve the quality of life for residents, protect upstream protective forests, and preserve biodiversity. Through this journey, the Faculty of Law and Van Lang University reaffirm their pioneering role in community engagement, educating the next generation to live responsibly and contribute to a more compassionate, sustainable society.
