On December 22, 2024, the Faculty of Architecture hosted its Traditional Festival with the theme “VANG” (Echo), carrying the message "Echoing Pride - Continuing Tradition." The event aimed to honor the values connecting the past, present, and future throughout the 30-year development journey of the Faculty.
The annual Traditional Festival is not only an occasion for student bonding and welcoming freshmen but also an opportunity for alumni to return, engage, and inspire the next generation. Over 30 years, the unwavering connection among generations has fostered a vibrant spirit, becoming a beautiful memory for many Architecture students.
Nguyen Thanh Phu - Class 28 of the Faculty of Architecture, wins first prize in the Logo Design Competition for the “VANG” Traditional Festival.
In preparation for the 2024 “VANG” Festival, the organizing committee launched a Logo Design Competition, which received enthusiastic participation from students. After thorough evaluation, the first prize was awarded to Nguyen Thanh Phu, a student from Class 28, for a design that vividly captured the spirit of the festival’s tradition.
This year’s program drew strong participation from students, serving as an opportunity to reflect on past achievements while looking forward to an energetic and dynamic new year.
Before the official start of the program, participants experienced the “Baptism Ceremony”, symbolizing a fresh start and leaving behind past burdens, promising an exciting journey ahead.Master of Architecture Chau My Anh, Vice Head of the Department of Architectural Design, expressed deep emotion and pride when reflecting on the Faculty’s 30-year development journey.At Act 1: “Vang tu hao” (Echoing Pride), the audience was immersed in a multidimensional emotional journey: from the sacred pride in tradition to the exhilaration brought by electrifying musical performances.The Torch-Lighting Ritual, a traditional activity, ignited the flame of enthusiasm in every heart, connecting generations of students and faculty. The flame symbolized not only pride but also the drive to conquer challenges and awaken aspirations.A special theatrical performance by lecturers and students from the faculty illustrated the harmony between teachers and students, showcasing the unity across generations.Act 2: “Continuing Tradition” opened with a play portraying the journey of personal growth under the Faculty’s roof. It cleverly depicted self-discovery, overcoming limits, and affirming passion, with the guidance of lecturers and camaraderie of teammates.Act 2 ended in a vibrant and lively atmosphere with thrilling musical performances.The story of Trong Thuy and My Chau was emotionally reenacted in Act 3: “RE-ECHO” reflecting the indomitable spirit and resilience of the Vietnamese people through generations.The collection “Hoa từ Đá” (Flowers from Stone) captivated Architecture students through a performance delivered by both the Faculty’s lecturers and students.
Across the three acts of the “VANG” Festival, Architecture students experienced a wide range of emotions—from profound and sacred moments to extreme excitement—creating an unforgettable emotional journey. Each act carried deep messages, reflecting the distinctive character and creativity of Architecture students.
