On January 10, 2025, Van Lang University held the Commencement Ceremony "Students take Van Lang everywhere" season 11. This campaign was deployed from November 2024 and lasted until the Lunar New Year, attracting nearly 4,000 Van Lang University students and lecturers to participate, with 2,700 selected members, organized into teams to nearly 900 high schools in 42 provinces and cities across the country.
In the opening speech of the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of Van Lang University especially emphasized the important role of young people, who will help students prepare solidly before entering the university environment: "The mission of Van Lang University is to train human resources that have a positive impact on society, associated with three major tasks: training human resources, spreading knowledge and serving society. The activities that Van Lang students participate in are associated with the mission of the school, which is simple but extremely meaningful to students who have never left their families." During the hometown trip to celebrate Tet with your family, don't forget to visit your old high school teachers to express your gratitude - that is also the most important spirit of the campaign. Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu hopes that students will bring real stories of experience, providing useful advice on the journey to ignite the fire of university for high school students nationwide. On each journey, you represent Van Lang. I hope that the teams will organize practical activities, bring impactful values to the community, contributing to spreading the image of Van Lang to a large number of students nationwide.
In the special event, Dr. Vo Van Tuan - Vice President, the leader leading the Admission activities of Van Lang University, together with the student team representing 42 provinces and cities, waved the flag high, signaling the launching ceremony of the 11th season campaign. The campaign "Students take Van Lang everywhere" in 2025 is more special as it is one of the milestones of the student program celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Van Lang University.
With a large scale, the management team of the campaign “Students take Van Lang everywhere” was structured according to the pyramid model: 9 provincial cluster leaders, 51 provincial leaders, and 800 school leaders to ensure close and effective coordination. Representatives of the Administrators of Van Lang University presented commendation gifts to student leaders in charge of regional clusters and provincial leaders as a way to express gratitude for their efforts in connecting students in each province and guiding activities for high schools, contributing to the success of the campaign.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Men - Head of Admissions & Communications Department said: “The evaluation of the campaign results will be based on different criteria, the most important of which are the type of activity, the level of information access to high school students, the novelty, creativity and spreading effectiveness of the activity. The evaluation set is designed to create competition among the teams, including the following categories: 10 provincial leaders, 20 excellent school leaders, 5 teams with quality activities, 5 teams with efforts, 5 teams with effective communication and 5 teams with the best access data. The school has high expectations for the creativity and efforts of the teams, promising a successful military festival and many impressive achievements after Tet".
In addition to the solemn and meaningful ceremonies, representatives of the provinces and cities also brought a diverse cultural party with outstanding performances and impressive catwalks, expressing pride in their homeland. This is considered the spiritual food of students participating in the campaign "Students take Van Lang everywhere" every year.
The performances, especially the catwalks of the representatives of the provinces and cities, have become an indispensable spiritual food for students in each commencement ceremony.
Like previous seasons, in addition to the resources provided to the schools, each volunteer of the campaign received a spiritual gift from the University. In this 11th season, each soldier received an exclusive campaign lanyard along with Tet jams with the characteristics of the 3 regions of North - Central - South, as a small joy sent to the students before the approaching Tet holiday.
Originating from a small volunteer activity in 2014, the campaign "Students take Van Lang everywhere" has grown significantly with a large scale and many investments, contributing to spreading positive values, bringing a beautiful image of the learning environment and Van Lang people to the community and society. The campaign is affectionately called "Tet Admission" by the student community, becoming an indispensable feature every Lunar New Year, an opportunity for young people to reunite with their fellow countrymen, chat and recall beautiful memories of high school through a trip back to visit their old school.
After 11 years of development, the campaign has attracted thousands of students to participate, creating a strong spread of the image of Van Lang students: dynamic, enthusiastic, creative and always ready to contribute to the community, adding motivation for students on the journey to conquer their university dreams.
With the commitment and efforts of each member in the campaign, it has contributed to creating beautiful memories, awakening dreams and aspirations for learning for the young generation. Thereby, the image of Van Lang University students - dynamic, creative and enthusiastic, will be strongly spread to the community. This is a testament to Van Lang University's mission of serving society, continuing the journey of knowledge and spreading noble human values to all parts of the country.
