The closing ceremony of the Multimedia Project Season 1: The “Real Learning – Real Doing” Journey of Students in Partnership with Businesses

On September 14, 2024, the Faculty of Public Relations - Communication successfully hosted the Multimedia Project – Season 1 closing ceremony, in collaboration with businesses to orient students majoring in Multimedia Communications. The project which was a part of the internship course, was launched in May 2024 with the support of 27 reputable companies from various sectors.

Following the philosophy of “learning through experience,” the ceremony provided an opportunity for lecturers and businesses to reflect on the diligent efforts of Course 27 students in practical communication projects, which delivered significant value to businesses and society.

The first season concluded with over 50 media campaigns, more than 300 posts on social media platforms, and 12 events—including three fundraising events that garnered widespread support from the community. Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Party Committee Secretary, Standing Vice-President, and Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication, emphasized the importance of the project in expanding cooperation between the university and businesses. He highlighted its role in connecting students to employment opportunities, fostering creativity, and enabling students to implement media projects and publications, thereby accumulating practical experience for their future careers.

After this journey of perseverance and project execution, the closing ceremony recognized and rewarded the top three outstanding projects:

Throughout the project, students participated in multiple pitching sessions with business representatives, where they independently generated ideas, produced, and developed communication strategies in various formats. They created media publications, filmed TV commercials (TVC), viral clips, organized events, and managed brand fanpages. During the 6 to 8 weeks of on-site internships, students had the opportunity to apply 100% of the theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms to real-life work. At the closing ceremony, most businesses praised the creativity, enthusiasm, and professionalism of Van Lang University students. Their campaigns attracted strong engagement and attention from customers, with dynamic communication plans closely aligned with the given briefs and business requirements, generating substantial value for companies and creating positive social impacts.

Intending to foster collaboration with businesses and enhance the Multimedia Project in the coming years, Dr. Le Tran Bao Phuong from the Faculty of Public Relations and Communication shared new directions and initiatives aimed at scaling the project for Season 2. These initiatives will help generate practical value and promote sustainable development for domestic businesses. Reflecting on the success of the projects in Season 1 and witnessing the development of Van Lang University students, Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Standing Vice-President, representing the Faculty and the University, extended an invitation for businesses to collaborate and accompany the second season of the project, set to take place in May 2025.

Congratulations to the Course 27 Multimedia Communications students for completing their internship semester with such outstanding achievements. It is hoped that learning from experienced professionals in the field will help students enhance their skills, accumulate experience, and build a solid foundation for entering the job market in the future.
