The award ceremony for the video clip and photography creative competition on the theme "Mother's Hands"

On July 5, 2023, the Faculty of Creative Technology at Van Lang University organized the award ceremony of the video clip and photography creative competition on the theme "Mother's Hands". The competition aimed to honor the image of mothers in families, using artistic language to express the gratitude of the youth towards their parents.

To provide a helpful playground for both high school and university students, spread the love message, and gratitude for the image of women in families on Mother's Day (05/14/2023), the Faculty of Creative Technology of Van Lang University organized a video clip and photography creative competition on the theme "Mother's Hands" for the students of VLU and VLU’s partnered high school. There were two types of participating products, which students could choose: video clips or photographs on the theme "Mother's Hands".

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, the President of Van Lang University, shared: 'Although this is the first time organizing such an event, the creative competition for video clips and photography on the theme of 'Mother's Hands' has attracted the attention of a large number of high school students and university students. It is not only a playground for the young to unleash their creativity but also an opportunity for students to nurture their souls, learn to appreciate their loved ones and cherish their happiness. That is the core value that the competition aims to bring.'

After two months, the competition has recorded 39 entries with active participation and interest from students of Cao Lanh 1 High School, Lap Vo High School in Dong Thap, and students from the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, Arts and Design, Commerce, Information Technology, and Creative Technology. After two elimination rounds, the judging panel selected 11 outstanding works.

• First Prize: Team from the Faculty of Creative Technology, Video work "Ganh" (The load)
• Second Prize: Nguyen Bao Huy, student of the Faculty of Arts and Design, Photography work "Nhung duong ke tay" (Hand lines)
• Third Prize: Team from the Faculty of Creative Technology, Video work "Ban tay cua me toi" (My mother’s hands)
• Consolation Prize: Duong Tuyet Anh, student of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, Photography work "Vet thuong be nho" (A small wound)

Not only encouraging the young on their journey to explore the artistic field, conveying emotions and sentiments through films and images, but the creative competition for video clips and photography on the theme 'Mother's Hands' is also a reminder of the gratitude towards the parental sacrifice and hardships, especially the mothers who contribute to the growth and happiness of their children and families. Congratulations to all participants for excellently completing their entries.
