Teachers and students of the Faculty of Stage Arts & Film pay tribute to their Profession's ancestor

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Stage Day (12/8 lunar calendar), on September 13, 2024, the Faculty of Theater and Cinema Arts of Van Lang University organized a Ceremony of Offering Incense to pay tribute to the Profession's ancestor, the ones who have found and nurtured the national theater art.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Outstanding Lecturer. Phan Thi Bich Ha - Dean of the Faculty of Theater and Cinema Arts, Faculty of Applied Art emphasized the importance of the event in preserving the intangible cultural heritage of the nation, reflecting the beauty of "Remembering the source when drinking water" in Vietnamese culture: "Despite the ups and downs of history, the Stage Ancestor's Memorial is still preserved and promoted. This is not only an occasion to honor and express gratitude to the masters and predecessors, but also an opportunity for young people to exchange, learn from experiences, and together promote Vietnamese stage art to a higher level.”

On the occasion of Commemoration Day of Ancestors in the Profession, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Outstanding Lecturer. Phan Thi Bich Ha recalled the achievements that the students of the Faculty of Theater and Film have achieved in recent years, notably 2 Golden and Silver Kite Awards in 2022 and 2024, the Third Prize in the "Green Screen" short film competition, and most recently, 06 excellent awards presented by the Ho Chi Minh City Film Association. From the important milestones of the Faculty, she hoped that students will take them as motivation to follow, continue to maintain faith and strive on their career path.

The ceremony concluded in a solemn and warm atmosphere, nurturing in each student a sense of national pride and responsibility towards the development of the national stage art. With the flame of passion, it is hoped that the students of the Faculty of Theater and Cinema Arts will study and practice diligently, nurturing the creation of many valuable and humane artistic works, contributing to the development of Vietnamese stage art.
