Taiwan scholarship and cultural information day

In order to create opportunities for Van Lang University students to access information about scholarships, training programs and learn about the learning environment and culture of Taiwan, on July 21, 2025, the Department of Partnership and Engagement coordinated with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the event "Taiwan scholarship and culture information day".

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Chen Ho-Hsien, Education Counselor, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Truong Chi Cuong, Specialist, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Duy, Deputy Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education, Mr. Tran Luu Phuong Nam, Deputy Head of the Department of Partnership and Engagement, along with lecturers, students, and trainees from the Faculties.

At the program, representatives from the Taipei Office in Ho Chi Minh City provided valuable information, creating a bridge for Vietnamese students to explore opportunities in Taiwan. Prof. Dr. Chen Ho-Hsien shared that Vietnam and Taiwan have many similarities in culture, religion, and lifestyle, making it easy for students to integrate when studying here. In addition, Prof. Dr. Chen Ho-Hsien also introduced key majors in Taiwan, and encouraged Vietnamese students to learn about attractive scholarship policies in Taiwan, opening up opportunities not only for studying but also for a long-term career in the future.

Mr. Truong Chi Cuong, representing the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, presented in detail all information related to studying in Taiwan.

Taiwan's education system is notable for its diverse fields of study, especially in the fields of High Technology, Business Administration, and International Business, which meet the needs of international students. International students can study and work at the same time, and are given priority to extend their stay to seek long-term career opportunities.

In addition to education, other factors such as tourism, culture, cuisine, and safety are also among the reasons attracting students to study abroad in Taiwan.

Many students have asked questions about scholarship eligibility, application procedures, and admission processes, showing great interest in the opportunity to study abroad to develop future career prospects.
