On November 6th, 2024, Văn Lang University welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore) to visit and participate in Vietnam – Singapore cultural exchange activities.
During the visit, students from both educational institutions had the opportunity to explore and experience the art of making “tò he” (a kind of toy figurine) together. This is a traditional Vietnamese folk art. Under the detailed guidance of local artisans, young students created colorful and unique artworks by themselves, showcasing their great talents and personalities.
Ms. Lê Thị Minh Tâm, Head of the External Relations Department at Văn Lang University, shared: “The university welcomes over 900 international students each year for study and research. The cultural diversity of the international student community has created a vibrant and dynamic learning environment”.
Students from both universities not only experienced making toy figurines, but also learned thoroughly about study opportunities, research programs, and student exchange initiatives between two institutions. This helped them gain a comprehensive understanding of each country’s education system.
The cultural exchange program not only allowed students to connect and make international friends, but also strengthened the cooperative relationship between Văn Lang University and Temasek Polytechnic.
Established in 1990, Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore) is one of Singapore’s leading public institutions, with around 15,000 students enrolled in various fields such as applied sciences, business, design, engineering, social sciences and humanities, information technology, and tourism. |
