Strengthen multi-dimensional cooperation between the Health departments of Van Lang University and medical centers

The Health departments are quite young fields of Van Lang University, but in the past 5 years, the Health departments have received special attention and investment from the University. In addition to quality training programs, modern facilities, and a team of experienced lecturers, strengthening cooperation with domestic and foreign medical facilities is also focused on by the Faculties, opening up many learning and internship opportunities for students. 

Recently, Van Lang University has actively developed the Health departments with many new training programs: Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Dentistry, and Medicine. This is a special industry sector, requiring training units to meet many strict requirements regarding the quality of training programs, the quality of lecturers, and specialized facilities for students in each major.

With the desire to bring breakthrough and practical results in training activities and make positive contributions to the community, Van Lang University also focuses on strategic cooperation with large hospitals, expanding learning and practice opportunities for students majoring in Health. In 2022, the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Dentistry signed cooperation agreements with major hospitals such as Thu Duc General Hospital, District 11 Hospital, An Binh Hospital, 30-4 Hospital, Hospital of Rehabilitation and Occupational Disease Treatment,... Minutes of cooperation signing unify the principles of specialized practical training for students of the Health Sciences Major at Van Lang University, expanding internship opportunities for students of all courses. 

In addition, the Faculty of Medicine of Van Lang University has discussed signing a principle contract on practice facilities for medical students with many large hospitals such as: Tu Du Hospital, Thong Nhat Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Otorhinolaryngology Hospital, District 2 Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital,... The Faculty of Medicine also regularly coordinates with Health Departments to train basic and clinical majors for students, actively develop scientific research activities, improve initiatives to overcome difficulties, deliver distance training, and serve public health... 

Not only focusing on expanding the partnership network of hospitals, the Health Sciences majors also strengthen cooperation with local organizations, businesses, and universities at home and abroad to promote research projects, organize specialized workshops, seminars for students and lecturers such as Vietnam Nursing Association, An Khang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, Sen Pharma Company Limited, Stanford Institute of Microbiology and Epidemic Control (USA), Sydney University of Technology (Australia),... 

With serious investment in the health departments, Van Lang University aims to develop a hospital-university model, training a generation of students with good expertise, medical ethics, and readiness to serve the community and share the spirit of social responsibility.
