In celebration of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day on November 20th and with the aim of creating a vibrant and healthy recreational space for staff, lecturers, and employees, Van Lang University Trade Union organized the 2024 Sports Festival. The event featured engaging competitions in Chess, Chinese Chess, Badminton, Air Volleyball, and Football, drawing enthusiastic participation from union members across the university
The annual Sports Festival, meticulously prepared by the Executive Committee of Van Lang University Trade Union, serves as a platform for promoting a healthy lifestyle, fostering physical well-being, and enhancing the sense of unity and quality of life among its members. Through group activities, participants not only improve their physical fitness and mental clarity but also find opportunities to connect with colleagues, share their passion for sports, and unwind after stressful working hours by fostering a deeper understanding, connection among its community.
The Trade Union Sports Festival is a meaningful occasion for Van Lang University staff, lecturers, and employees to interact with each other outside of work.
The 2024 Trade Union Sports Festival at Van Lang University took place from November 8th to November 20th, featuring four sports: air volleyball, football, badminton, and Chinese chess. With many lecturers signing up, the festival became an exciting occasion for "athletes" from different Faculty/Institute/Department to showcase their talents through strategic play, teamwork, and engaging matches, creating a vibrant atmosphere for this year's competition.
In this competition, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy - President of the Trade Union at Van Lang University, revealed that in 2024, Sports Festival saw an impressive 22 teams registered for the volleyball event as the most popular competition and receiving enthusiastic support from the lecturers and staff.
Lecturers have the opportunity to connect with and learn more about their colleagues by attending the competition.After hours of teaching, the lecturers transform into professional athletes, giving their all on the competition field.The team gathers to discuss strategies before the competition.
Amidst the enthusiastic cheers from the home supporters, the players delivered smooth passes, skillfully maneuvered through defenses, and made thrilling attacks on the opponent's goal.
Van Lang University players always try their best on the field.The moment when the supporters cheered for the victory of their team, their shouts became a source of motivation for the athletes to give their best and bring glory to their units.The unexpected joy of the supporters when their team strikes a goal.

With four competition categories, the Sports Festival featured exciting contests between various teams, contributing to a lively and uplifting atmosphere within the Van Lang University community as they celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th.
