On February 19, 2025, The Department of Research Development at Van Lang University held a seminar titled “Exploring opportunities for scientific research funding and technology transfer”. The event served as an occasion for enterprises and the university to discuss sources of research funding , technology transfer needs, and sustainable research directions.
The program attracted the participation of many prestigious speakers: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong - Head of Scientific Management Office - Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City; Dr. Nguyen Tan Dai - Officer in charge of Francophone University Cooperation Space of Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Nguyen Mai Chi - Director of External Relations and Communications, PepsiCo Vietnam Food Company; and Dr. Pham Minh Quoc - Senior Manager, Physical-Chemical Research & Development Department, Masan Consumer Goods Corporation, along with more than 100 lecturers and researchers from the university.
Scientific research is not only a process of creating new knowledge but also a journey to bring innovations into practice. Nowadays, the connection between corporations and universities plays an extremely important role, not just the financial aspects. Understanding this, the guests shared many useful insights about research funding policies, real-world application opportunities, and ways to address pressing issues of modern society through scientific research and technology transfer.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu - President of the University, shared: “Van Lang University’s educational philosophy is to encourage students to learn from reality, directly experience, and become familiar with the practical environment.” To achieve this, each staff member and lecturer needs to become a bright example of lifelong learning, constant innovation, and creative enthusiasm for scientific research.
In 2025, the university continues to promote research cooperation activities, creating an open environment for scientific research, thereby improving the quality of education.
