According to Dr. Mai Binh Duong, in the context of the increasingly complex legal tax environment with continuous changes, updating knowledge about taxes becomes extremely important for individuals and businesses. Grasping the latest tax regulations accurately helps workers fulfill tax obligations correctly, avoid errors, and violations leading to penalties. Furthermore, updating tax knowledge helps optimize tax obligations, enhance competitiveness, and protect legitimate tax rights, providing a basis for debate and complaints when encountering tax issues.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tinh stated that Vietnam is intensifying efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) to promote economic development. However, this also entails risks of increasing behaviors such as erosion of the tax base and profit shifting (BEPS) by multinational corporations (MNCs). Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tinh shared some solutions to counter the risks of increasing behaviors such as erosion of the tax base. Effectively implementing these solutions helps Vietnam attract FDI efficiently, while ensuring state budget revenue and creating a fair, transparent business environment.
Ms. Ngoc Lan stated that empowering internal control and balancing AI advancements with a human-centered strategy are key to improving the effectiveness of tax policy analysis. Applying AI reasonably helps businesses better comply with tax regulations, minimize risks, and optimize profits.
In particular, independent audits and internal audits are two important tools for enterprises to identify and resolve issues. Regular auditing helps enterprises improve operational efficiency, minimize risks, and enhance credibility with stakeholders. Additionally, effective auditing helps enterprises comply with legal regulations, providing necessary information to the Leadership Board for more informed decision-making, enhancing employees' sense of responsibility, and encouraging ethical actions and compliance.
