On September 14, 2024, Van Lang University’s Honors Program, in collaboration with the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association), hosted a cultural exchange between VLU students and international students from Republic Polytechnic (Singapore). As part of the event, Singaporean students toured the VLU campus and took part in a hands-on workshop to craft traditional Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns.

During the workshop, Course 30 students from the Honors Program and Republic Polytechnic students explored the significance of lanterns - a symbol of the Mid-Autumn Festival - and showcased their creativity by crafting colorful, handmade lanterns. Through these vibrant creations, the international students gained a close-up look at the beauty of Vietnam's Mid-Autumn Festival traditions. The event left both groups with lasting memories, giving students from both countries the chance to connect, build friendships, and exchange cultural insights.

The workshop was not only a meaningful cultural bridge between Vietnamese and Singaporean students but also a valuable opportunity for first-year students in the Course 30 Honors Program to experience the dynamic, multicultural learning environment at Van Lang University. It marked an exciting beginning to their university journey.
