Orientation Session for the academic year 2024 - 2025 for students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages

On September 22nd 2024, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Van Lang University organized a new academic year orientation forum, opening up opportunities for interaction between businesses, lecturers and students from various classes. During the session, students had the chance to have their questions answered about academic rules, share learning experiences, engage in discussions with businesses and receive valuable scholarship awards for their academic achievements.

With the aim of helping students build an effective language learning pathway, Dr. Phan The Hung - Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, emphasized that success comes not only from academic knowledge but also from thorough preparation and positive attitude. Students need to engage in proactive learning, develop soft skills, and foster comprehensive growth in both intellectual and emotional aspects.

The program provides an opportunity for direct interaction with representatives from reputable businesses and experienced lecturers, including Mr. Zheng Yao Bin - Deputy General Director of Supor, Ms. Vu Quynh Nhu - Director of Easy Edu English Center and Ms. Tran Ngoc Khanh Anh - CEO and Founder of ATS TESOL. Students had the chance to “gain tips” into internship programs, collaborative projects between the university and businesses, recruitment trends and job opportunities at multinational companies and international organizations.

In a message to the new K30 students, Ms. Cao Thi Xuan Tu - Lecturer in charge of Honors Program, shared that students enrolled in the special training system will receive in-depth instruction to achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher. They will also study and conduct research in an international environment, with opportunities to participate in summer courses abroad.

Through the session, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages were equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to confidently enter the job market. Wishing them to leave their own mark and achieve great success in their university journey!
