Orientation Day of the Faculty of Civil Engineering: K30's Journey to Shape the Future

On the morning of October 1, 2024, the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Van Lang University organized a welcoming program for Class 30 freshmen, aiming to foster connections between students of different Classes and the university, and to build a friendly and supportive learning environment.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Vice Dean in charge of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, stated: "The Faculty of Civil Engineering at Van Lang University has set itself the mission of training high-quality officers and engineers, transferring knowledge and technology, while also connecting a wide network to develop the country comprehensively. Through today's orientation ceremony, I hope to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of student generations to help them gain clearer direction, more motivation, and inspiration in their studies and future career development."

In addition to the presence of faculty members and business representatives, the meeting was an opportunity for freshmen to interact and learn from their seniors. Mr. Vo Cong Hoan - an alumnus from Class 5, representing the Project Management and Construction Supervision Consulting Center of Nagecco Company, shared many interesting insights about the profession. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Dai Phat - valedictorian of the Class 26 of Civil Engineering, shared sincere advice about factors that helped him maintain motivation and learning effectiveness during his university journey.

Regarding the field of study, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quang Tuong - Head of the Department of Construction Economics and Management, affirmed that the profession students are choosing is a long journey that always requires learners to continuously update and improve themselves.

Recognizing this, the Faculty of Civil Engineering has been and will always focus on training quality, providing students with solid specialized knowledge and practical internship opportunities at businesses. As a result, students can confidently enter their career paths and contribute positively to society.

The program concluded with words of advice from previous generations, opening up a new chapter for freshmen about their chosen field. It is hoped that in the upcoming journey, the students will continue to develop ceaselessly, building a bright future for themselves and society.
