Orientation Day for Courses 26, 27, 28 and 29 students of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science for 2023-2024 academic year.

On September 16, 2023, the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science at Van Lang University successfully organized an orientation day for students from Course 26, 27, 28 and 29 in Auditorium C001.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Quang Huy, M.D. - the Head of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Medicine at Van Lang University attended the orientation day. He is also the Chairman of the Club of Medical Engineering Training Institutions in Vietnam and the Chairman of the Association of Medical Engineering Training Institutions in ASEAN. The event also included faculty members, lecturers, and staff from the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science at Van Lang University, as well as students from Course 26, 27, 28, and 29.

At the beginning of the orientation day, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vu Quang Huy, M.D. extended a warm welcome to the new academic year and delivered a message to all students of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science: "Now, you must clearly understand your role, what you want to achieve. You will build your own life, learn how to change yourself, thoughts, attitudes, and achieve the desired results in your studies and life." Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vu Quang Huy, M.D. expressed his hope that the students of Medical Laboratory Technology at Van Lang University would not only excel in their studies and improve their academic performance but also undergo a transformation in their perception through the learning process at Van Lang University, aiming to build a career for themselves in the future.

During the orientation day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Quang Huy, M.D. also introduced the strategic development plans for 2023-2024 academic year to the students. These plans include collaborations between the VLU Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science and reputable international training institutions, as well as the development of Master's and Ph.D. programs in the future.

At the event, lecturers of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science provided detailed information about the curriculum and specialization plans for each course, overviewed the general academic situation among the different courses and offered advice to the students. Additionally, the lecturers provided guidance on the faculty’s rules and regulations, introduced specialized courses, discussed the locations for internships related to specialized courses, and explained the requirements for students when completing their graduate dissertations. The employment opportunities for students extend beyond healthcare facilities, hospitals, people’s healthcare clinics, research, and production facilities, etc.

Furthermore, the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science briefly introduced information about the new curriculum for 2023-2024 academic year. Students had the opportunity to discuss directly with the Dean’s Board to address questions or concerns related to their studies and the activities of the faculty. The enthusiasm, dedication, and sincerity of the lecturers helped students open up, creating a comfortable atmosphere and allowing students in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology to have a deeper understanding of their chosen path.

Wishing the lecturers and students of the Medical Laboratory Technology Faculty at Van Lang University a passionate and successful 2023-2024 academic year.
