Orientation Ceremony to welcome freshmen of Class 30 and Class 2’s Second-degree students of Faculty of Dentistry

On the morning of September 29, 2024, Van Lang University (VLU) Faculty of Dentistry organized the Orientation - Welcoming Ceremony for Class 30’s freshmen and Class 2’s second-degree students. As an occasion for the students to interact and connect, the ceremony is also an opportunity for them to make memorable memories on their upcoming academic journey.

Established in 2020, the Faculty of Dentistry at VLU has achieved outstanding success in teaching and training, gaining the trust and confidence of the students and their parents.

PhD. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang Phi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, expressed: “Not only an academic environment, Faculty of Dentistry at Van Lang University is also a common home where the students fulfill their dreams and are trained to become skilled and dedicated dentists. The University commits to providing the best conditions, so our students will have a comprehensive development, both in professional knowledge and soft skills, professional ethics, and creativity”.

In her speech at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, expressed her deep pride and emphasized the potential future of those who chose this meaningful career. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu encouraged them to keep a humble attitude and learn constantly to make unforgettable impacts throughout the learning journey at Van Lang University.

In the solemn atmosphere, the Faculty of Dentistry performed the white coat ceremony for the freshmen. Besides its role as a work uniform, the white coat is also a symbol of purity, responsibility, and the dream of becoming a Doctor. Putting on the white coats, the students of Class 30 have officially stepped on a challenging yet honorable path.

In addition, on this occasion, the Faculty of Dentistry awarded 07 Entrance Scholarships of Van Lang University to excellent freshmen. These scholarships, including 01 worthed 100 million VND, 03 worthed 50 million VND, and 03 worthed 25 million VND, were a great motivation in helping them continue pursuing their passion in a modern learning environment, fully equipped with facilities and meeting the requirements of global career integration.

Moreover, the Faculty of Dentistry honored students of Class 27, 28, and 29 who had extraordinary achievements and contributions to the emulation movement in the 2023-2024 school year. These students were recognized in categories such as Outstanding Student, Student of 5 merits at school level, Van Lang University Sports Festival, Executive Committee completing tasks, and Executive Committee of Youth Union - Students' Association completing tasks.
