Opening of the official survey for external evaluation of 4 undergraduate programs

Today, on January 3, 2022, Van Lang University is honored to welcome the External Evaluation Team from the Center for Education Quality Assurance (under the Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges) for the officially survey of the undergraduate programs in 4 undergraduate programs: Business Administration, Commerce, Architecture, and Biotechnology.

At the Opening Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Director of the Center for Education Quality Assurance and Supervisory Advisor of the External Evaluation Team, expresses congratulations and confidence in the strong development pace of Van Lang University, marked by remarkable achievements and breakthroughs. The visit of the External Evaluation Team at the beginning of 2022 holds significant meaning in inaugurating the new year for the quality culture journey that Van Lang University is steadfastly advancing, elevating international standards.

The External Evaluation Team will conduct a 5-day survey and official work at Van Lang University from January 3 to January 8, 2022. The team will engage in activities including reviewing self-assessment documentation and evidence for each programs, interviewing the Council for Program Self-Assessment, Heads of Departments, lecturers, staff, and students from programs. Additionally, visit and survey the physical facilities and equipment for undergraduate programs.

The preliminary report on the results of the official survey of 4 undergraduate programs at Van Lang University will be presented by the external evaluation team at the closing session on January 8, 2022.

IMPORTANT QUALITY ACCREDITATION MILESTONES 

• In May 2018, Van Lang University was recognized for achieving quality accreditation for its higher education institution. 
• In November 2020, Van Lang University achieved the domestic quality accreditation standards for 03 undergraduate programs in Accounting, English Language, and Hotel Management. 
• In June 2021, Van Lang University continued to achieve domestic Quality Accreditation Certification for 3 majors: Travel and Tourism Management, Civil Engineering, and Finance and Banking. 
• In October 2021, Van Lang University was officially awarded the QS Stars 4-star Certification by QS from the United Kingdom. This is the highest QS ranking for Vietnamese universities up to the current date. Van Lang is the first university in Vietnam to achieve the QS Stars 4-star Certification in its first accreditation application.
