Opening ceremony of the official survey to serve the external assessment of 3 postgraduate programs Architecture, Business Administration, Finance and Banking at VLU

From March 10 to March 14, 2023, the external assessment team of the Education Accreditation Center (CEA) from Vinh University conducted an official survey at Van Lang University aimed to serve the quality accreditation of the master's degree program in 03 majors: Architecture, Business Administration and Banking and Finance.

On March 14th, 2023, Van Lang University held the Opening Ceremony for the official survey serving the external assessment of the quality of 03 Master's programs: Architecture, Business Administration, and Finance and Banking. This is the first round of quality accreditation for the master's programs. 

The external assessment team of the Education Accreditation Center, Vinh University conducted an official survey at Van Lang University including:

● Dr. Tran Dinh Quang, Director of Education Accreditation Center, Vinh University

● Assoc. Dr. Bui Duy Cam, Former President of the University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Head of the External evaluation team

● Dr. Phan Hung Thu - Secretary of the external evaluation team

● Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Ha, the external evaluation team

● Dr. Vo Sy Manh, the external evaluation team

● Assoc. Dr. Doan Thi Minh Trinh, the external evaluation team

● Assoc. Dr. Le Duc Giang, the external evaluation team

● Dr. Nguyen Duy Mong Ha, the external evaluation team

● Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, the external evaluation team

● MSc. Nguyen Thi Minh, Supervisor of the evaluation Team

There are now 14 master's degree programs offered by Van Lang University, of which the first three are accredited according to this assessment. At the Opening Ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, presented an overview of the internal quality assurance system and improvement results of Van Lang University from 2017 to 2022.

In addition, three faculties with master's degree programs were respectively represented by Dr. Nguyen Quynh Mai, Director of the Postgraduate Institute and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Dr. Architects. Do Phu Hung; and Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Tien Hoang, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, to summarize the self-assessment reports on the training program based on the following criteria: the program's goals and learning outcomes; the program's description; the curriculum's structure and content; the assessment of students' learning outcomes; the faculty and researchers; research activities; the facilities and equipment; and development of a quality improvement plan.

The external assessment team will do the following tasks between March 10 and March 14, 2023, during Van Lang University's official working period: study self-assessment records, evidence records of majors, interviews with the Self-Assessment Council and Heads of Departments, officials, lecturers, and employees of various departments, interviews with students, visits and surveys facilities, equipment.

The conclusions of the external assessment were the foundation for Business Administration, Architecture, and Finance & Banking continuing to enhance and improve the quality of education. Simultaneously, the Education Accreditation Accreditation Council of the Education Accreditation Center will use the official evaluation report to certify and consider recognizing the educational quality standards for three master's programs. It will also serve as a motivation for the entire VLU to continue acting in the direction of quality assurance, affirming its reputation and fulfilling its commitment to the community regarding a high-quality educational unit.
