Opening Ceremony of the AUN-QA Quality Assessment at Program Level

For many years, the quality assurance system at Van Lang University has consistently developed and gained recognition for quality from both domestic and international evaluation and ranking organizations. Since 2016, meeting the quality assessment standards of the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) has been one of the key objectives that Van Lang University aims for, in order to build training programs that are close to regional and international standards, and the Industrial 4.0.

After years of effort and with many expectations, today, on January 10, 2022, Van Lang University joyfully organizes for the first time the Opening Ceremony of the AUN-QA Quality Assessment at Program Level for four undergraduate programs: Environmental Engineering Technology, Graphic Design, Accounting, and Hotel Management.

Dr. Nguyen Cao Tri, Chairman of the Board of Van Lang Education Group, and Chairman of the Board of Van Lang University, stated: "This is a special event marking the first time Van Lang University participates in the program quality assessment according to AUN-QA standards. The university's involvement in the program is not merely about reputation or branding; more importantly, we recognize that quality assessment is a comprehensive improvement process, transforming the culture of valuing quality into a regular, daily task for everyone at Van Lang. We believe that after this assessment, the evaluation results from AUN-QA experts will truly support the university in making further improvements in the training programs, meeting the standards of regional international integration and enhancing the quality of education. The ultimate goal is continuous improvement of quality, which will be transformed into the capabilities of each graduate of Van Lang University, who will participate in the high-skilled workforce of the country and the region, bringing positive impact and inspiration to the community as the mission that the university aims for".

The AUN-QA assessment team will have a 5-day online working session with Van Lang University from January 10 to January 14, 2022. The experts will conduct various activities, including reviewing self-assessment documents, evidence files for each program; interviewing Deans, Heads of Departments; interviewing officials, lecturers, and staff from each programs, as well as conducting interviews with students, alumni and employers from each programs.
