Nursing Students: More Study and Career Growth Opportunities in Germany

On January 25, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing at Van Lang University organized a meeting to share valuable opportunities and insights in studying and advancing in the nursing profession in Germany.

With the aim of expanding students' learning environments, the Faculty of Nursing provides access to international-standard knowledge and professional workplaces through the seminar “Study and Career Growth Opportunities for Nursing Graduates in Germany.” Furthermore, it opens up new pathways for students post-graduation.

Nursing is one of the popular professions in the Federal Republic of Germany due to the country's aging population, requiring an abundant workforce to care for patients and the elderly in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes.

Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Hoa, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, hopes that the seminar will bring valuable knowledge to students, aiding them in overcoming challenges in determining and selecting their post-graduation development paths. Mr. Vo Xuan Hai, a nursing alumnus of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy with extensive experience studying and working in Germany, shared insights with VLU’s students on approaching and seizing study and work opportunities in Germany, as well as the differences in the nursing field between Germany and Vietnam.

The first Nursing course at Van Lang University officially graduated in August 2023, receiving positive feedback from reputable domestic healthcare facilities, businesses, and internship units. The Faculty of Nursing will continuously strive for program improvement, actively connecting lecturers and students with learning opportunities and international exchanges. Wishing successive generations of Nursing students to grow stronger day by day, uphold VLU's core values of “MORALITY - WILL - CREATIVITY,” develop comprehensively, and contribute positively to society.
