Nursing Students Connect with Recruitment Units at Job Fair

To support students in career orientation and expand job opportunities, on May 17, 2025, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology at Van Lang University organized a Job Fair for Nursing students. The event effectively connected students with recruitment units in the healthcare field.

Dr. Ly Thi Phuong Hoa, Head of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology at Van Lang University, warmly welcomed healthcare recruitment units and the university's partners: “The job fair is considered an annual activity of our university, contributing to a comprehensive view of the demand and recruitment efforts of hospitals. This connection with training service providers for nursing degree conversion assures us that this will be an opportunity for students to study and work abroad, which is also a desire of many parents. The Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology sincerely thanks the hospitals for providing opportunities for students to experience and practice in a professional working environment.”

Mr. Vu Long, a lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology introduced the nursing training program, designed and implemented according to the national qualification framework with a student-centered educational philosophy. Based on the development of lifelong learning capabilities, the university enhances experiential activities and scientific research for students. Additionally, the university has built standard practice rooms to support teaching and improve student competencies.

Specialist level 2 Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi, Head of the Personnel Organization Department at Thong Nhat Hospital, introduced the hospital's history, organizational structure, and development orientation.

About Thong Nhat Hospital development orientation, Specialist level 2 Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi, Head of the Personnel Organization Department shared that the hospital focuses on developing high-quality human resources, expanding facilities, investing in equipment, and collaborating both domestically and internationally. He emphasized that soft skills and proactivity are crucial recruitment factors, urging students to actively enhance their professional knowledge and participate in activities to adapt to the international job market.

Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Nursing Department at the Tropical Diseases Hospital, discussed the hospital's development orientation and the need for additional healthcare personnel. 

To meet the increasing demand in the healthcare field, Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Nursing Department at the Tropical Diseases Hospital noted that the Tropical Diseases Hospital proactively arranges suitable internship schedules, allowing students to access real working environments. The hospital also offers free specialized English classes for nurses to enhance their language skills and support international integration.

Regarding recruitment, Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Thuy emphasized that the hospital has a long-term human resource development orientation, with a clear recruitment process that includes interviews and skills assessments. Notably, the hospital places a strong emphasis on the importance of sterilization in professional practice and requires candidates to meet the conditions for obtaining a professional license as stipulated by regulations.

Ms. Tao Thi Hong Mai, Deputy Director in charge of training, detailed the policies and opportunities for students participating in the Nursing Degree Conversion Program in Germany.

Representative from Hanoi IEC Co., Ltd. – GCA German Competence Institute informed students about career development opportunities in Germany. The program follows a closed process and strictly adheres to the European reference framework. In line with global labor market trends, the organization implements projects for specialized training, degree conversion, and cultural exchange. Candidates receive benefits not only during their studies and work in Germany but also while still in Vietnam, including language support, legal procedures, and comprehensive career orientation.

In addition, the speaker also shared information about the partners and clients who have trusted and collaborated with the company in this field.

He emphasized, “The internship period at the hospital is a valuable opportunity for skill development. However, the core lies not only in professionalism but also in enthusiasm and proactivity—qualities that reflect your attitude in patient care. Additionally, the rapid development of AI technology can support healthcare but cannot fully replace the role of nurses. To become a professional nurse, students must be dedicated and maintain a professional image from their attire.”
