On June 14, 2025, Mugunghwa, the featured event of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, returned with the theme “Rise.” The program conveys the aspiration to open a new chapter in the journey of shaping and building distinctive values, continuously striving toward new milestones.

Mugunghwa 2025 unfolded through three emotionally resonant chapters, each vividly portraying the Faculty’s history of establishment and its resilient efforts to grow: “Reflection - Moving Forward - Shining Bright.” These three chapters symbolize the Faculty’s enduring development journey, reflecting on the past, persisting with unwavering steps, and ultimately shining with pride through meaningful accomplishments.

During the event, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien, Dean of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, shared that Mugunghwa 2025 marks a significant milestone, the graduation of Class 27, the KLang’s first generation. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and the transition to online learning, these students demonstrated remarkable perseverance, affirming their resilient academic spirit and becoming a source of pride for both the Faculty and Van Lang University.

If Mugunghwa Saeng 2024 left a profound impression with its unique “Flower Tying” ritual, then Mugunghwa 2025 – Rise delivered a distinctly different experience, touching the deepest emotions. The most meaningful highlight of the program was the exchange of handwritten letters between students and lecturers of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture. This heartfelt moment created a warm and contemplative atmosphere, adding humanistic depth to this special program.
