On December 9, 2024, Van Lang University welcomed a delegation from Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan, for a visit and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This collaboration aims to expand international partnerships and exchange strategies to enhance educational quality in the future.
With a brief introductory video at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, shared that both universities share a common vision of educating future generations who will have a positive impact on society.
Prof. Dr. Thu-Hua Liu, President of Ming Chi University, expressed his mutual agreement with Van Lang University’s educational goals, also highlighting Ming Chi’s status as one of Taiwan’s government-supported universities committed to societal service through talent development, he stated that collaborating with Van Lang would further advance Ming Chi’s national mission.
Under the agreement, Ming Chi will annually provide opportunities for 30 Van Lang students to participate in a 2+2 dual-degree bachelor’s program, allowing them to study and enrich their knowledge in Taiwan. Additionally, both universities will collaborate on student exchange programs, offering international experiences to the youth and maintaining closer ties between Vietnam and Taiwan. In August 2025, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Van Lang University plans to partner with Ming Chi to carry out cultural preservation projects in the fields of design and creativity.
The signing ceremony was carried out successfully, marking a significant milestone in promoting sustainable development in education between Vietnam and Taiwan. This paves the way for more academic and cultural exchange opportunities for students from both universities.
