(VLU, 05/6/2023) - On June 4th, 2023, the Faculty of Business Administration of Van Lang University organized a major orientation program for Course 27 students to answer questions about the curriculum and 03 majors: Retail Business Administration, Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management.

Opening the event, Dr. Nguyen Quynh Mai, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration shared that in reality, only a few individuals are able to pursue their ideal careers due to a combination of factors such as: passion, personal capabilities and financial considerations. To take control of their future career paths, the young must actively pursue continuous learning and build a solid foundation to work towards their desired profession. According to Dr Nguyen Quynh Mai, Business Administration required learners to have good quantitative and digital thinking, data analysis skills, communication, leadership abilities, decision-making and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Being an experienced person in leading businesses, Mr. Truong Xuan Quang, CEO of Global Ingredient Group said that besides communication and teamwork skills, young individuals aiming to thrive in the fields of retail business administration and supply chain management should carefully choose a favorable environment. That was an important factor that directly affected the learning process, skill training and approaching opportunities for personal and career development. Valuable lessons learned from businesses will benefit young people who plan to run their own business in the future.

For Management Information Systems, MS. Nguyen Dac Quynh Mi, Vice Head of the Information Technology Department, stated that in the midst of the global digital revolution, information technology needs to go hand in hand with the business field to foster outstanding developments. Through various applications and algorithms, people can efficiently and objectively manage businesses, analyze data, and gain maximum benefits.
The meeting with lecturers and experts provided valuable guidance for Course 27 students of the Faculty of Business Administration in selecting a suitable major. By sharing experiences and knowledge with experts, students are motivated and updated with new knowledge, and have a clear understanding of the majors, thereby making the right decisions, and long-term attachment to their chosen career path.
