Launch of the Vietnam Swiss Innovation Challenge 2025

On the afternoon of June 28, 2025, the Faculty of Commerce at Van Lang University held the launch ceremony for the Vietnam Swiss Innovation Challenge 2025 with the theme “Innovating For Impacts: Sustainable Solutions For An Inclusive Asia”.

At the event, Professor Mahmoud Al-Kilani, representative of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), expressed his hope that the relationship between Vietnam and Switzerland would serve as a bridge for young people to turn their entrepreneurial passions into reality and make an impact in society. He also extended his best wishes to the participating teams: “Be bold, think big, dare to act differently, and enjoy the process of participating in the competition”.

The Vietnam Swiss Innovation Challenge 2025 consists of three rounds. Round 1 (Idea Generation) will take place from July 1 to July 31, 2025, where teams will prepare their submissions and send them to the organizing committee's website. Round 2 (Idea Innovation) will be held on August 30, 2025, where the teams will present their ideas on paper and engage in Q&A sessions with the judging panel. The top eight teams will advance to Round 3 (Realization) on September 20, 2025, to present and answer questions from the judges from Van Lang University and Switzerland.

Regarding the prize structure, the first-place team will receive 150 million VND and full sponsorship for their trip to participate in the international finals from November 18 to November 20, 2025, in Switzerland. Additionally, the organizing committee will award one second prize, one third prize, and five encouragement prizes. 

The Swiss Innovation Challenge (SIC), owned by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, is an integrated competition program aimed at supporting and promoting innovation among young people in Switzerland and has now been expanded to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
