On 15/04/2023, the Project Management Office and Van Lang Group (VLG) co-organized the kick-off ceremony of the Creative Trainers program helping VLU lecturers and staff understand the objective of implementing the series of "Digital Skills Training" program, "Creative Trainers" program and guide to complete the Microsoft Innovative Educator Program (MIE) of Van Lang University.
The event has over 150 officers - lecturers - employees of Van Lang University, the Board of Directors, and experts, including Ms. Nguyen Hong Minh - Microsoft Education Program Manager in Vietnam, Ms. Pham Thi Lich - Vice President of UTS, Ms. Tran Thi Ha My and Ms. Doan Thi Dung, Teacher of UTS.
Van Lang University will implement the series "Digital Skills Training" program from April to June 2023, comprising five programs: Creative Trainers; The use of Microsoft Teams for education; Information Security Rules; Digitize workflows with Power Platform; Design Power BI-based Reporting.
Aiming to become a precious university and creating opportunities to access and apply the latest technology for staff, lecturers, and employees, Van Lang University held a "Creative Trainers" session to spread the spirit of Preparing the skills for creativity" to the entire VLU community.
At the initial session, VLU lecturers discussed: Roadmap, benefits, and regulations of "Creative Trainers" when participating in the MIE program. In addition, this session is also an opportunity for teachers to improve their digital skills to serve the teaching and daily tasks. Guest speakers will discuss and guide the audience on how to reach out to digital technology and respond to the lecturer’s questions.
Ms. Bui Pham Lan Phuong, Vice President of Van Lang University, shared: "In this day and age, technology has a significant impact on our work and daily life; therefore, we need to cultivate and accretion our knowledge of digital skills to utilize in our work. In today’s session, we are collaborating with Microsoft, one of the strategic partners of Van Lang University. Through this program, VLU lecturers are trained and recognized through related international certificates.”
During the session, Mr. Nguyen Ky Vien, Director of Van Lang Group (VLG), shared with the lecturer information, regulations, and benefits when participating in the "Creative Trainers" session, including three levels: MIE, MCE, and MIEE. Ms. Nguyen Hong Minh, Microsoft Education Program Manager in Vietnam, will support lecturers as an assistant at the MIE level.
As the initial session in the "Digital Skills Training" session, the "Creative Trainers" program aims to support VLU lecturers, staff, and employees to access digital devices, bringing meaningful experiences for students and lecturers. VLU hopes that every lecturer becomes a global creative expert recognized by Microsoft, developing effective teaching methodologies in the working process and contributing to the quality of teaching.
