In 2025, Van Lang University celebrates 30 years of establishment and development. As the university’s traditional day coincides with the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, this March marks a meaningful journey back to the roots. Outstanding Trade Union members and Distinguished Students of 2024 have made a pilgrimage to Hung Temple (Phu Tho) to pay tribute to the nation’s ancestors.
"There was once a country named Van Lang that laid a solid foundation for the nation’s history, resilient in the storms and turmoil. A Van Lang filled with deep admiration and respect for its ancestors. After years of change, the doors to global exchange open wide, yet the descendants of the Hung Kings will always be the descendants of the Hung Kings, Van Lang University respectfully uses ‘Van Lang’ as the name for their beloved university.'' These invaluable words by researcher Nguyen Khac Thuan were featured in the 5th-anniversary book of Van Lang University. The honor of a university named after the first national name of Vietnam is developing through generations of Van Lang University lecturers and staff.
Continuing the annual tradition, 27 outstanding Trade Union members from Van Lang University set off on the “Journey to the Ancestral Land” from March 20–23, 2025. During this trip, the delegation visited famous cultural and historical sites, including the Hung Kings’ Temple (Phu Tho), Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace of Vietnam, the National Assembly Building of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Temple of Literature, and One Pillar Pagoda.
