On December 5, 2025, the talk show "Indigenous Culture: From Heritage to Creative Inspiration," jointly organized by the Van Lang University Library and Chibooks Vietnam, attracted a large number of students. The event opened up a lively dialogue space on how to approach and apply cultural heritage in the contemporary creative flow.
The discussion was moderated by Ms. Man Thi Hong Thien, lecturer in Graphic Design, along with speaker - Journalist and Author Do Quang Tuan Hoang, Editorial Secretary of Mốt Việt Nam magazine.
Sharing his journey in reviving local cultural values, journalist Do Quang Tuan Hoang stated that researching and recounting heritage stories is not simply about exploiting material, but also a responsibility of those working in media and journalism. Every custom, every folk tale, no matter how small, contains its own "cultural order," requiring careful observation and documentation to avoid falling into clichés and empty platitudes.

His journey of "fieldwork - careful reading - meeting with communities" in various regions has given the journalist a comprehensive perspective, from the roots of life to the layers of culture. From this, he creates works of lasting value, instead of chasing fleeting trends on digital platforms.

The talk show provided foundational knowledge and broadened practical perspectives, giving students additional tools to access, explore, and honor heritage in their own creative works. This event also affirms Van Lang University's educational orientation: fostering creative thinking linked to identity, building an academic environment rich in continuity and integration.
