On May 8 - 9, 2025, the Office of Scientific Research Development at Van Lang University organized an interdisciplinary committee session to review and approve student scientific research proposals for Round 2 of the academic year 2024–2025. A total of 80 proposals were submitted across various academic majors, including Technology – Engineering; Architecture; Design – Arts; Social Sciences – Humanities – Communication; Tourism; and Business – Management.

This year’s committee brought together PhDs and Master level lecturers from multiple disciplines to evaluate interdisciplinary research proposals, requiring a comprehensive and multi-perspective approach within each field. After more than six months of research and preparation, student groups confidently presented their proposals before the expert committee. Many of the topics impressed the committee with their creative ideas and practical relevance, addressing real-world issues such as biotechnology applications, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainable architecture, digital communication, and other urgent social concerns. These proposals demonstrated the students’ ability to apply academic knowledge to real-life contexts, aligning with Van Lang University's direction in fostering student research initiatives.

After the evaluation round, student groups whose proposals were approved will continue revising and finalizing their outlines based on feedback from the committee, preparing to enter the official research phase under faculty supervision. This approval process is an essential step in students' scientific research journey, helping them develop critical thinking, research skills, and methodological approaches, and contributing to the overall quality of student research at Van Lang University.
