Inauguration of Medical Practice Area 03 and Opening of the Dental Clinic

Today, December 12, 2024, Van Lang University officially inaugurated Medical Practice Area No. 03 and opened the Dental Clinic, marking an important milestone in the journey of investing in building a comprehensive and modern experiential educational environment for learners.

Ms. Bui Thi Van Anh - Chairwoman of the Van Lang University Board of Trustees shared her joy about the new achievements of the Faculty: “The Faculties of Health Sciences is a special group of disciplines, requiring training units to meet many stringent requirements regarding the quality of training programs, the quality of lecturers, and specialized facilities dedicated to students of each major. The inauguration of the third Medical Practice Area and the Dental Clinic clearly demonstrates the University Leadership’s attention and investment in the Faculties of Health Sciences.”

From April 2021 to the present, the Faculty of Dentistry has inaugurated three Medical Practice Areas, invested with millions of dollars in state-of-the-art machinery imported from prestigious international brands such as those from the USA, Germany, and Japan. Medical Practice Area 03, with a total investment of 18 billion VND, has been constructed to ensure compliance with the stringent training quality and industry standards.

Medical Practice Area 03 is specially designed, upgraded with advanced equipment and facilities, serving each of the students’ specific majors.

Through three rounds of investment, VLU has increased the total number of equipment in the Faculty of Dentistry Sciences as follows: the multi-purpose lab increased the number of Master space systems from 13 to 41 systems, the simulation area increased from 21 to 43 systems, and the dental chairs in clinical practice area increased from 12 to 34 chairs.

Additionally, the Dental Clinic (license number 09846/HCM-GPHĐ) has been invested with 14 treatment chairs and will accept patients seeking consultation, examination, and treatment in Dentistry. The clinic offers preferential policies for all staff, lecturers, students, and their relatives belonging to the Van Lang Education Group, providing access to high-quality dental care services.

Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang Phi - Dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry emphatically stated: “The Faculty of Dentistry currently has over 40% of its students whose parents or relatives work in the dental field nationwide. Every step of the Department’s development receives empathy, understanding, attention, and enthusiastic support from esteemed parents.”

Ms. Hoang Le Bich Thuan - parent of student Phan Minh Anh, shared on behalf: As a doctor in the field, she dedicates special attention and trust to the Faculty of Dentistry at Van Lang University, hoping that future generations of students will have opportunities for outstanding academic and professional development.

After four years of establishment, the Faculty of Dentistry has marked significant developmental steps. Investing in modern facilities serving specialized practice not only affirms the position of the Faculty of Dentistry at Van Lang University among universities in Vietnam but also clearly demonstrates the University’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for students to develop and nurture their talents.
