Held from January 12–17, 2026, the 5th International Convergence on Art & Design (ICAD 2026) took place at Van Lang University, welcoming academics and art - design experts from 18 countries.

From international scholars’ perspectives, Van Lang University is recognized as an open academic environment with a strong commitment to international integration in art and design education and research. Active engagement from both faculty and students in cultural dialogue, interdisciplinary thinking, and contemporary issues was evident throughout academic exchanges and creative practices. In this setting, ICAD is viewed as a meaningful platform for academic connection, where research, education, and creative practice meet through collaboration and respect for diversity.

ICAD 2026 continues the direction of building and maintaining an open academic space where lecturers, students, and the creative community can access international discourse, exchange expertise, and broaden their professional perspectives. In a context where art and design are increasingly intertwined with technology and social issues, ICAD 2026 stands out as a moderate, serious, and open meeting point, consistent with the training and research direction that Van Lang University is pursuing.
