On March 26, 2025, the Faculty of Arts & Design at Van Lang University hosted a workshop titled “Experience Watercolor Painting and Material Printing” for 80 students from Hung Vuong High School (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City).

Lecturers from the Faculty of Arts & Design introduced watercolor and material printing techniques, emphasizing the role of painting in relieving stress and sparking inspiration. After admiring unique watercolor artworks and printed pieces, students from Hung Vuong High School began their own creative journey, experimenting freely with various types of paper, paints, and professional brushes under the enthusiastic guidance of Van Lang’s lecturers. Each brushstroke became more than just an artistic experiment - it was a reflection of each student’s individuality.

The highlight of the program was the experience of pattern printing using rubber stamping - a simple yet highly applicable relief printing technique. Through learning how to carve rubber, use ink and rollers on dó paper and fabric bags, students had the chance to roll up their sleeves and create unique handcrafted products.

Student Buu Dinh (Class 12A5, Hung Vuong High School) shared: “Today’s workshop was really fun and practical. The hands-on activities helped me explore a new aspect of artistic creativity and, in a way, made me feel more confident in the creative field.”

The workshop “Experience Watercolor Painting and Material Printing” served as a bridge between art and real-life application, allowing Hùng Vương High School students to showcase their talents and nurture their passion for painting. It also offered them a valuable opportunity to explore the high-quality training programs of the Faculty of Arts & Design at Van Lang University.
