“Green sprout for children - For childhood smiles” - A youth volunteer project of the Faculty of Dentistry

Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Dentistry, Van Lang University (August 26, 2020 - August 26, 2025), the Faculty organized a youth volunteer project in 2025 with the theme "Green sprout for children - For childhood smiles". It falls under the third among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, aiming to improve oral health and contribute to public health protection comprehensively and sustainably.
 

The members of this project visited and gifted at the following destinations: Anh Sao Private School for the Deaf (Lam Dong Province); Bao Lam Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities (Lam Dong Province); Thi Nghe Support Center for Disabled Orphans - Campus 2 (Lam Dong Province); and Ky Quang Pagoda Children's Shelter (HCMC).
 

With the goal of educating on caring for oral health for the disadvantaged, the Faculty organized dental examinations and treatment for children, transported and equipped specialized medical equipment to serve children and people in difficult circumstances at schools, shelters, and support centers.

 

Through these activities, the Youth Union - Student Association of the Faculty of Dentistry aims to create foundational knowledge, helping children form and maintain a proper oral care routine. The 2025 youth volunteer project has left a mark on the 5-year journey of establishment and development of the Faculty of Dentistry, sparkling and spreading the inspiration for practical, close, and humane actions.
