On June 25 and 26, 2025, the Faculty of Arts and Design at Van Lang University (VLU) held the graduation thesis defense for students of Class 27 in Digital Art & Design. The projects spanned a wide variety of formats, including 2D animation films, short films, 2D games, promotional trailers for digital products, etc. These works demonstrated strong creative thinking, visual storytelling skills, and engagement with pressing social, cultural, and environmental issues.

In their overall evaluation, the Evaluation Committee, comprising faculty members, industry experts, and business representatives, highly commended the quality of this year’s submissions. In particular, they praised the students' technical execution, modern design thinking, and high applicability. Outstanding works that received top marks included: the 2D animation “Quýt”; the short film “Trong long nui lua”; the animation “LANG”; the 2D game “Bonds of Wit”; the game trailer “Divine Clash”; etc.

Student Nguyen Tran Gia Bao, whose team’s short film “Trong long nui lua” received a preliminary score of 9.1, shared: “We learned how to work as a team, how to deal with pressure, and most importantly, we discovered that we’re capable of much more when we take our craft seriously”.
With high applicability, diverse forms of expression, and strong design thinking, these graduation projects serve as intangible evidence of Van Lang University’s market-oriented training approach in the field of digital arts.
