On June 18, 2025, Nursing students from Class 27 successfully defended their graduation theses, marking the final milestone of their Bachelor’s journey. The presented topics focused on practical issues in nursing, reflecting both academic competence and professional maturity after four years of study and clinical training.

Both studies were systematically conducted, with clear methodologies and valuable recommendations for education and practice.

Research on professional competence also received positive evaluations from the Committee, notably the study "Survey on Nursing Practice Competence in Hospitals" by Ngo Thuy Quyen and "Evaluation of Nursing Practice Competence of Fourth-Year Nursing Students" by Nguyen Ngo Gia Uyen. These two studies objectively reflected the current status of professional skills, communication and coordination in care, as well as proposed directions for training program improvement.

Research in the community health and chronic disease groups provided a humanistic perspective, focusing on improving patients’ quality of life through nursing interventions and health education. From post-stroke rehabilitation, enhancing self-care ability in kidney failure patients, to managing complications in people with diabetes, the studies demonstrated a deep understanding of patient behaviours and offered practical, interdisciplinary, and applicable solutions in clinical settings.

Based on hospital surveys, the study recommended integrating short-term counselling programs into care to enhance treatment outcomes and reduce risks of complications.

This year’s research projects were highly commended for their relevance, clarity, and problem-solving approach, serving as strong evidence of Van Lang University’s commitment to practice-oriented education in Health Sciences.
