On April 1, 2025, US Vietnam Talent International School collaborated with lecturers from Van Lang University to organize the workshop "Training initial first aid skills" for 8th and 9th-grade students. Through theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, the students were equipped to respond effectively in emergency situations, contributing to building a safer and more supportive community.

At the workshop, Mr. Vu Long, a lecturer from the Faculty of Nursing at Van Lang University, shared fundamental first aid knowledge, including basic definitions, the role of the rescuer, and how to provide accurate information when calling for emergency services.

Mr. Vu Long instructed students on initial first aid procedures for various emergencies.

The students were divided into nine teams and practiced at five first aid stations, including electric shock first aid, burn first aid, drowning first aid, choking first aid, and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Each station posed a challenge requiring students to apply their knowledge and skills to handle situations. The dedicated guidance of Van Lang University lecturers boosted students' confidence in performing each step.

Additionally, the students practiced CPR during the workshop under the direct supervision of Mr. Vu Long. This was not only a skill test but also an opportunity for students to develop calm and decisive attitudes when facing emergencies.

8th and 9th-grade students of US Vietnam Talent International School practiced first aid under the guidance of the Faculty of Nursing from Van Lang University.

Phuong Hoa, a student from class 8.2, shared, "I was excited to learn and practice first aid. This was my first practical experience; though I was still a bit clumsy, I gained many valuable insights."

Duc Minh, a student from class 9.2, said, "The choking first aid station left the deepest impression on me. When I played the role of the victim, I truly realized the importance of the rescuer."

The workshop not only equipped students with essential life skills but also fostered a sense of responsibility and community spirit among them. This aligns with the shared goal of Van Lang University and US Vietnam Talent International School to nurture future generations.
