On December 5, 2024, the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, in collaboration with the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, hosted the final round of E-Buzz Media 2024 under the theme “Gangwon State in My Eyes.”Exclusively sponsored by the Gangwon Province Vietnam Headquarter, the competition offered a platform for students to showcase their creativity in producing short videos while enhancing cultural exchange and strengthening the Vietnam–South Korea companionship.
In his speech, Mr. Vo Van Tuan, Standing Vice President of Van Lang University and Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, extended heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Yeom Song Heum, Director of the Gangwon Province Vietnam Headquarter, for their sponsorship and dedication to fostering Vietnam–Korea cultural exchange. Dr. Tuan remarked, “The E-Buzz Media events and competition are merely a starting point for bringing Gangwon Province closer to Vietnamese youth. I believe this marks the foundation of a solid and enduring partnership between Ho Chi Minh City and Gangwon Province.”
Mr. Yeom Song Heum, Director of the Gangwon Province Vietnam Headquarter, shared his sentiments: “I am deeply moved to see the cultural and traditional beauty of Gangwon Province reaching Vietnamese people, especially the youth and students in Ho Chi Minh City. I hope that in the future, the Vietnam–Korea friendship will grow stronger, and we will have more opportunities to meet and collaborate through bilateral exchange programs.”
During the event, students explored unique cultural aspects of Gangwon Province, honed critical thinking skills, and exchanged passions and knowledge through engaging activities, such as the Quiz on Gangwon State, which saw enthusiastic participation as students answered questions about Gangwon’s culture and lifestyle.

After four months of competition, including the Pick Team, Storyboard, and Video Production rounds, the Top 10 teams advanced to the final round to present their works. Each video showcased unique cultural elements through diverse formats, including TV commercials, viral clips, and short films, focusing on the province's culinary traditions, music, and iconic products.

The first season of E-Buzz Media 2024 concluded successfully, leaving lasting impressions. The competition not only showcased the creative talent of Van Lang University students but also contributed significantly to enhancing the cultural bond between Vietnam and South Korea. This experience will serve as a valuable foundation for participants to excel academically and creatively, becoming key ambassadors for fostering connections between the two nations.
The experts had many fond memories as they engaged in discussions, exchanged knowledge, and toured the facilities of Van Lang University.
