Faculty of Tourism Accompanies “Arboreum of Tourism Cultural Talent 2024” Project

On March 22, 2024, Travel and Tourism Management major, Faculty of Tourism, Van Lang University, accompanied the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Tam Chuc Tourism and Services Co, Ltd. and other experts in the field of culture and tourism organized the launching ceremony of the “Arboreum of Tourism Cultural Talent in 2024 - 2034” project.

The launching program of the “Arboreum of Tourism Cultural Talent in 2024 - 2034” has announced the project information to more than 20 universities training in the field of Tourism in HCMC and connected the Organizing Committee with parties through an MOU.

Dr. Tran Thi Thuy Trang - Head of Travel Department, VLU’s Travel and Tourism Management major, said that since 2021, the Faculty of Tourism students have been encouraged to participate in the Tam Chuc Impression contest (2021), Tourism Culture Ambassador (2022), Arboreum of Tourism Cultural Talent Project (2023) and many other professional contests. In the most recent participation, the major had 18 finalists, competing with other teams and winning First, Second, and Third prizes. With a large force of dynamic, creative, and professionally skilled students, VLU’s Travel and Tourism Management major is often considered as one of the groups having excellent candidates by the Organizing Committee.

Sticking with the “Arboreum of Tourism Cultural Talent in 2024 - 2034” project, the Faculty of Tourism of Van Lang University wishes to create conditions for Travel and Tourism Management students to promote their strengths as well as improve knowledge, qualifications and professional skills. At the same time, the process of exchanging and competing with other teams from universities across the country will be useful experiences, helping students practice, learn and spread the brand and image of the VLU’s Faculty of Tourism.
