Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical and Computer Engineering received the donation of microchip design laboratory equipment

On September 25, 2024, the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical and Computer Engineering of Van Lang University has held a ceremony to receive the donation of microchip design laboratory equipment from Gowin Semiconductor Company (Hong Kong) and trained lecturers and students on how to use Gowin FPGA Designer software. This is considered an opportunity for the two units to cooperate and develop an educational environment for students to have a more intuitive approach to the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.

With the desire to improve the quality of applied learning training for students, Dr. Le Hung Tien, Head of the Faculty of Mechanical - Electrical and Computer Engineering, expressed his deep gratitude to Gowin Semiconductor Company for their interest and desire to sponsor advanced microchip equipment along with in-depth learning materials in the field of semiconductor technology. This will be a new material for the teaching staff to integrate into the curriculum, in order to improve practical knowledge and create favorable conditions for students to experience the practical aspects of the field of study.

As a corporation specializing in semiconductor circuit design with diverse products, Gowin Semiconductor Company has sponsored the university with EDA Gowin Designer software, a hardware experimental circuit kit with full accessories (USB hard drive, camera module, HDMI, Audio) and teaching materials. In the documents, students have access to instructions on microcircuits, instructions on using the software and programming exercises with microcircuits.

Hopefully, the good cooperation between Gowin Semiconductor Company and Van Lang University will create a premise, contributing to promoting research activities, technology transfer, exchange and training of students and lecturers in the field of semiconductor circuit design.
