Faculty of Environment celebrates 50 years anniversary of World Environment Day (05/6/1972 - 05/6/2022)

Due to the 50th anniversary of the world Environment Day, in June 2022, the Faculty of Environment of Van Lang University excitedly organized Van Lang football tournament as well as celebrating one year anniversary of the establishment of Van Lang Environment alumni club.

As a tradition, teachers and students of the Faculty of Environment of Van Lang University jointly organize meaningful commemorative activities on the annual World Environment Day. This year, on the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day (1972 - 2022), the Faculty of Environment simultanuously organized 02 activities to enhance the spirit of multiple student generations.

The reunion gathered 80 members consisting of lecturers, alumni, undergraduated and postgraduated students together with the representatives of business partners who have been cooperated with the Faculty of Environment from the first days of establishment.

Attending to the event, each member of the Faculty of Environment expressed their feeling toward this event. This is the chance for them to meet their beloved teachers and friends who had been with them throughout their school year and in the school activities. Additionally, in the meeting, the members of the Faculty of Environment gave the speech to recall the memories and set goals for the future which is continuing to support the next generation of the Environmental Engineering Technology.

The event is also an opportunity for Van Lang Environment Alumni Club to reflect impressive activities throughout the school year. Despite being established during the severve Covid-19 epidemic, with the spirit of "no one is left behind", the Club has devoted itself to support the next generation students of the faculty to overcome difficulties in life in order to nurture and empower the next generations of Environmental Engineers to maintain their learning path and pursue their dream jobs in the Faculty of Environment at Van Lang University.

The Board of Directors reported the academic achievement of 9 students of class 2021 (K27) who received scholarships from the Club. After one year of continuous learning and active participation in the activities held by the faculty and the university, all the 9 students excellently completed their commitment to maintain their scholarship with a GPA of over 8.0.

Van Lang Cup football tournament organized by the Van Lang Environment Alumni Club

Taking place from May 9th to June 5th, 2022, Van Lang Cup football tournament organized by the alumni of the Faculty of Environment of Van Lang University came to the final round with the participation of 06 teams and 16 sponsors throughout the tournament.

The tournament received a lot of attention and registration from the alumni and partners who have accompanied the Faculty of Environment for many years. The crucial thing makes this tournament successful is not winning the prize or any achievements but through this activity, the alumini have a chance to gather, improve their health, and return their beloved Van Lang University after a long time.

At the end of the Final Round, 04 teams achieved the high rankings including:

• First prize: Mr. Viet FC – a gathering of Environment alumni led by Mr. Nguyen Trung Viet. 
• Second Prize: Environment Student – a collection of students and graduate students of the Faculty of Environment. 
• Third prize: Tuan 123 – gathering members from Tuan 123 Real Estate Joint Stock Company with the guidance of Mr. Nguyen Phu Tuan, an alumnus of the third course - K3. 
• Consolation Prize: Van Lang Company – a gathering of members from Van Lang Environment Company with the guidance of Mr. Lam Tan Qui - alumnus of the first course (K1).

Wishing the Faculty of Environment always showing the solidarity with each other and hope that the members of the faculty could join hands to create good and positive values for Van Lang community and society.
