From May 26 to 29, 2025, the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Van Lang University organized a volunteer project to repair and upgrade deteriorating facilities at the Go Vap Orphanage (Ho Chi Minh City). The project gathered faculty members, staff, businesses, partners, and a large number of students from the Faculty.

The volunteer team worked with dedication and a strong sense of responsibility across various construction tasks, including installing gypsum ceilings, doors, and mosquito-proof nets; replacing iron gates; and waterproofing treatment for restrooms. In addition to the renovation, the Faculty donated practical supplies to improve daily living conditions for the children. The total operating budget reached nearly 60 million VND.

Ms. Vo Thanh Giang, Student Affairs Assistant of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, shared: "Through this project, we hope to promote a spirit of solidarity and compassion while giving students hands-on opportunities to practice professional skills and develop a deeper understanding of social responsibility during their academic path”.

Students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering actively participated in the renovation work. Alongside the repairs, they also helped decorate play areas for the children in celebration of International Children’s Day (June 1).
