To nurture students' passions and bring sustainable business ideas to life, on March 25, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration at Van Lang University officially kicked off the 5th season of the “Ra Khoi” Startup Idea Contest, with the theme “Switch On Sustainability.”
This year, the contest has attracted over 70 startup projects from students from 33 universities, academies, and colleges nationwide. The projects cover diverse fields such as education, technology, commerce, community activities, sustainable development, etc., reflecting the creativity and social consciousness of the young generation. Participants have chances to develop their network, sharpen their strategic thinking, refine their business concepts, and develop their projects under the guidance of experienced industry experts.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi My Dieu, President of Van Lang University, emphasized that the competition is more than just an academic playground for students to test their capabilities or compete for prizes, it is a journey of perseverance, where students push their limits and refuse to give up. Throughout this journey, participants are never alone. Students gain knowledge, cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, and receive dedicated mentorship from industry professionals and faculty members, while also forging strong bonds with their teammates. “Entrepreneurship, business, or any career path is ultimately about overcoming yourself. Dare to think, dare to act, and dare to pursue your dreams to the very end. Don’t hesitate to let go of the good to reach for the great. Because in life, there is no final outcome - only better and better results.”
Dr. Nguyen Quynh Mai, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Head of the Organizing Committee, highlighted that with each season, the competition evolves, incorporating new elements because innovation is the key to fostering creativity. Dr Nguyen Quynh Mai shared “We hope that through this competition, students will not only learn how to innovate their ideas but also renew themselves and their perspectives on the world around them. This is the foundation for groundbreaking initiatives.”
Beyond being a platform to challenge business acumen, the “Ra Khoi 2025” Startup Idea Competition catalyzes entrepreneurial spirit, motivating students to enhance their quality of life, protect the environment, and contribute to the community.
