On June 5, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration at Van Lang University organized a workshop titled “Developing Detailed Syllabi, Measuring and Assessing Learning Outcomes Aligned with Program Objectives.” This initiative aims to meet new requirements in educational quality assurance as stipulated in Circular No. 04/2025/TT-BGDĐT issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. It also seeks to enhance graduates’ competitiveness in the job market and better align with labor market demands.

The training program was designed to equip faculty members with essential skills for developing detailed syllabi based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles, following standardized templates. It also provided guidance on how to effectively measure student learning outcomes through assessment tools and evaluation methods tailored to various competency levels. This enables educators to clearly identify and articulate students’ graduate attributes and expected learning outcomes.

Dr. Nguyen Cuu Đinh, Head of Training Academic at Van Lang University and organizer of the training, emphasized: “This workshop marks an important milestone in standardizing the curriculum development process based on OBE principle, shifting the focus from content delivery to outcome achievement.” The ultimate goal, he noted, is to ensure that students not only acquire knowledge but also develop comprehensive competencies, including knowledge, skills, and attitudes, to meet the demands of the workplace.
