Faculty of Applied Technology Donates 10,000 Medicinal Plants to the Naval Region 4 Command

On the morning of June 8, 2025, the Faculty of Applied Technology, Van Lang University, held a Closing and Handover Ceremony to present 10,000 medicinal plants to the Naval Region 4 Command as part of the program “The Green Color – For the Nation’s Sea and Islands, For Vietnam.”

Dr. Nguyen Huu Hung, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Technology, delivered the opening remarks.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Hung, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Technology, emphasised that the program marked a very special beginning. With the efforts of all faculty members and students, the Faculty successfully achieved the target of 10,000 medicinal plants. He further expressed the Faculty’s commitment to continue contributing through the spirit, knowledge, and technology of Van Lang University, to the preservation of the nation’s sacred seas and islands.

Dr. Vu Thi Quyen delivered a speech on “Love and Responsibility for the Sea and Islands.”

Dr. Vu Thi Quyen, Head of the Biotechnology Program, represented the Faculty of Applied Technology in delivering a speech on “Love and Responsibility for the Sea and Islands.” She highlighted the important role of the younger generation, particularly students, in protecting national sovereignty through creative initiatives and technological applications.

Mr. Dang Van Khoa, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, shared real-life stories and personal experiences from the campaign “One Million Green Trees – Dedicated to the Nation, For Vietnam.” His message emphasised the civic responsibility of every citizen towards the protection of the sea and islands.

Lieutenant Colonel Dao Hong Thang, Deputy Chief of Logistics and Technical Services of Naval Region 4 Command, provided insights into logistics support operations on the islands.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Chinh, Vice President of the Association, introduced the project “Gardens for a Green Vietnam” as a contribution to promoting sustainable development.
